Blogging is fun! What can I say? lol...I know it's pretty late in the game to start this but I was wondering if anyone on here is a fan of tennis? Someone that likes to watch the grand slams and the tournaments--if so who are you rooting for to win the championships for this years Wimbledon. At this very moment there are only four guys left in the men's singles and two women up for their championship.
Men: Semifinals
Richard Gasquet (France) vs. Roger Federer (Switzerland)
Rafael Nadal (Spain) vs. Novak Djokovic (Serbia)
Women: Finals
Venus Williams (USA) vs. Marion Bartoli (France)
Are any of these your favorites? If not who is and how do you think they can get further next year?
Right now on the men's side, I'm rooting for Gasquet I'm a big fan of his. Women? Venus of course!
Video dedicated to my favorite soap opera character of all time, Adam Chandler Jr. aka...JR Chandler. Hope you guys like it!
Not really his whole life story but pretty much sums everything up!
One of my music videos again. Ever since Brittany Underwood has stepped onto the One Life to Live stage, I've become a big fan of hers. I think she has a lot of talent! This video is pretty much AU (Alternate Universe) Langston has had some serious guy trouble because she's scared of love and most of all getting hurt--burned.
P.S. ChandlerReigns is my youtube name.
Whoa, my 'later' was later than I thought! This seems like a pretty decent topic for a real first post. With reality tv and primetime shows ruling the tube, how much longer will this genre last? I love my stories just like anyone else but I'm not biased enough not to see it's shortcomings. Soap operas average less than 5 million viewers. I just wish more people were watching. Most people complain that soaps use recycled storylines and cannot brace originality--by most people I mean all of my friends that hate it. I'm 17 yrs old and have been watching since I was about four or five. I want to see soaps stay traditional but it also needs to keep up with today's calibers. However, the question is: What are those calibers? How do you keep soap operas on longer (with such declining rates) without completely changing the concept? I guess I'm not providing the answers but just the inevitable questions! Is it the writers? Or is the majority of today's society just not interested. Is there enought promotion? IMO daytime has the best well rounded actors around. One thing I absolutely hate is to see talentless "stars" on my screen (those outside of daytime) I won't point any fingers but they're out there. These fabulous actors/actresses (daytime's finest) have great ranges and know the quality of hardwork. They go in, get their scripts, have pretty much no rehearsal and tape. I find that admirable and everything comes out to be so outstanding and entertaining. Their talent needs to be recognized! There's the prospect of some leaving and spreading their wings onto new things but is daytime going back to the powerhouse it used to be out of the realm of possibilities?
Just something to think about
